Cutler and Gross D-Frame Acetate Sunglasses

01

Image

01. Grey acetate with green lenses.

Words

Time and time again, sunglasses made by the UK-based eyewear company Cutler and Gross have me debating whether or not I need an upgrade. While the answer is logically no, the incredibly classic styles always cause me to wrestle with my more impetuous side. I'm especially drawn to this D-Frame model: Italian-made, distinctive, and sure to stand the test of time.

Sasquatchfabrix. Rawlife Sunglasses

01. Acrylic frame.

Words

The Japanese brand Sasquatchfabrix. does a remarkable job of taking classic references and warping them to fit their avant-garde aesthetic. Their products add a dash of individualism to any outfit, and these chunky acrylic sunglasses certainly stand out from the numerous, more diminutive versions available from nearly every eyewear company.

East London's Goodhood steadily offers some of the world’s best brands under one roof. On top of that, the shop also has a great in-house line called Goods by Goodhood, which was introduced towards the end of 2013. Products offered as part of the collection include T-shirts, homewares, pins and stickers, often defined by their clever, humorous or inspirational text treatments.

Babylon LA Palm Tree Cap

Images

01. Burning palm logo.
02. Adjustable strap.

Words

Although I never really got into the 'wearing your dad's old caps with thousand dollar sneakers' look, certain headwear in that category definitely captures my attention. The style and graphic help to position this piece somewhere between what an East London MC and a noisy hardware nerd would wear, which is a pretty impressive balance to strike.
