Très Bien Fall-Winter '15

01. High Neck Jacket.
02. Cropped Full Zip Shirt.

Words

Très Bien have just released their Fall-Winter '15 collection, picking up where they left off with a pared down design approach, clean tailoring and a mix of slim and oversized silhouettes. The subdued palette feels timely, with a blend of tans and beiges, greys and blacks, and various shades of blue across trousers, jackets and shirting. To round out the offering, the brand have partnered with Common Projects again, producing three special versions of the Achilles.

Russell Moccasin Sporting Clays Chukka

01. Tanned Chromexel leather.

Words

With the exception of one or two stores, Russell Moccasin fans have a hard time finding shops in North America offering collaborative styles produced with the Wisconsin bookmaker. Working with the company for the first time this season, Blue Button Shop have now made that a little easier. The Toronto-based retailer is offering three of the brand’s iconic models in a handful of interesting leathers, one of which is a personal favourite of mine: the Sporting Clays Chukka.

Needles Ghillie Sneaker

01

01. Treated suede detailing.

Words

It's very difficult to make a shoe silhouette that feels interesting and original, yet also wearable. The Ghillie Sneaker from Needles may share some similarities with the Jack Purcell and Chuck Taylor, but the mix of fabrics, unique lacing system, thick rubber outsole and almost non-existent branding definitely give it an identity of its own.

Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 32

01

Image

01. Triple Black.

Words

The Air Zoom Pegasus 31 is one of my favourite releases from Nike Running in recent times, and I've used it regularly, alongside the Flyknit Racer, during the accumulation of kilometres this year. In light of that, I was excited to see the latest edition of the storied model: an appealing update, released in a handful of strong colour options.

01. Natural suede upper.

Words

Potentially Gosha Rubchinskiy's last Vans collaboration, with Reebok in the works for SS16, this season's Sk8-Hi is probably the best style between the brands to date. Available in three colours – two worth buying – the shoes are made in a combination of premium leather and suede, with rubber reinforcement incase you take them off of the runway and onto some grip tape.

Converse Jack Purcell Signature Jungle Cloth

01

Image

01. Wind. Water. Whatever.

Words

Earlier in the year, following on from their success with the 1970s Chuck Taylor, Converse released a modernized take on the classic Jack Purcell style. Rather than scrap what had been so successful over the decades, they went back to their roots, thickening the canvas, and updating only the things that matter. One of the innovations was the introduction of Nike Zoom Air Technology, improving the comfort and longevity exponentially. This season the Boston-based brand has gone one step further, adapting the winning formula that has already found a home on thousands of pairs of feet, by introducing the Signature edition in a new jungle cloth fabric. Inspired by the deck jackets worn by the US Navy in the 1940s, the shoe boasts a densely woven, water-repellent Bedford cord upper and a canvas inner lining to help keep feet warm and dry in the worst of weather conditions. Completed with an Ortholite footbed, and a herringbone outsole for improved traction, they're a great update to an already excellent shoe. Available in two colours, you can purchase a pair directly via the links below.

Converse have also debuted a unique and interactive advert to coincide with the model's release. Eschewing typical print and online expectations, they are working exclusively with Inventory to host the one-of-a-kind campaign on our Instagram feed. You can follow the updates throughout the day, with the bigger picture soon to be revealed.

Vault by Vans x Wtaps OG Style 36 LX

01

Image

01. A tough choice.

Words

Vans and Wtaps have been working together for almost a decade and today marks the release of their latest collaborative collection. The eight-piece offering for Fall-Winter '15, produced as part of the footwear brand's Vault line, features two Caballero-inspired versions of the Sk8-Hi and a trio of Era options, influenced by the Japanese school uniform and colour-coded grading system. The highlight, however, is a tonal edition of the low cut Style 36 silhouette, built on a vulcanised rubber sole and rendered in three appealing shades of premium suede.
