Niuhans, the somewhat mysterious Tokyo-based clothier, has been producing beautifully refined everyday items since 2010. As one of the label's few North American stockists, Neighbour recently sat down with designer Daisuke Hamada to discuss the origins and philosophies behind the brand for their latest online feature.

Light jackets, T-shirts and accessories make up most of the selection, with a variety of leopard print applications standing out. The Marilyn Monroe and Eye print tees, at the core of the Belgian brand's Spring-Summer '16 collection, are especially strong.

Alpha Industries are the standard when it comes to flight jackets, with enough history and collaborations to back up any dispute. While projects with the likes of Supreme and Stüssy often receive the headlines, this special edition NASA version of their classic MA-1 should not be overlooked.

Paa Mock Neck

Having recently branched out from exclusively offering hats, the New York-based brand Paa has now stepped beyond T-shirts to also produce jackets, as well as other shirt styles. I’m particularly taken with this long-sleeved Mock Neck option at the moment. Made in the US from Japanese cotton, they’re basically meant for layering, a mode of dressing I can always get behind.

Unused Hooded Denim Coat

While some may think this is a lot of denim to use for a full-length piece of outerwear, I consider this hooded coat from Unused to be a truly impressive take on the classic M-51 parka. Fairly true to the original US military design – minus the epaulets – the detailing looks impeccable. What I’d be most intrigued to see though, is the fades it will pick up after a few years of regular wear.

Jakarta-based collective, Pleasure, have just launched a handful of T-shirt designs at Dover Street Market in London and Ginza, including one in collaboration with the store itself, which reflects "the spirit of playful youth in all of us." The group of friends are particularly focused on music, throwing parties in their hometown and around the world, with an anything goes policy to the genres they embrace.
